Brute Force with Scott at he helm left for Daly River this afternoon.
The weather was beautiful and sea lovely and calm, they made good time, getting to Lorna Schoal, near Dundee just on dark. The new boat Brute Force is fantastic and travels really well, just cruising at 10knots.
He will moor up tomorrow and the barra and reef adventure begins.
The barra nationals are on next week in the upper part of the river, we are at the Mouth so no danger of crowds. Not too many head out this far, as it is quite hard to navigate the River for all the sandbars and snags.
If it’s barra your after, this is the place to be this time of the year, there are plenty of places to fish for barra in the creeks of the Daly River and the many coastal creeks in Anson Bay.
But if you want to target the reef fish as well, we fish for barra on the optimin tides and head out the front into Anson Bay for all your reef fish, goldies, queenies, gts, you name it there usually there. There’s also some really good Jewy reefs that Scott stops on for a go after a big days fishing around Redcliff, Person Island and Cape Ford etc.
So get a group of 3 min to 8 or 9 mates together for an extended, liveaboard fishing charter.
Give us a call, or email, we are there til July, with our 65ft mothership and 2, 6.5mtr tenders, give it a go, you wont regret it!Share this with others
