A Peron Island Barra and Reef Adventure
Head west from Darwin past Dundee, dropping in on the Dundee reefs and shoals including a quick visit to a famous local jewfish hole along the way and a troll through “Sail City” well known for sail fish!
On a bit further the Yarramundi takes you through to Anson Bay, the mouth of the Daly River where the Humbug and other tenders can take you inland to the intrigate river system, into the creeks and secluded tidal gutters looking for the famous Barramundi, you can also try your luck for a few Mangrove Jacks.
Or stay out in the mouth and drop a line over the reefs and shoals that abound Anson Bay. Chase exciting reef fish like Golden Snapper, Red Emperor, Giant Trevally, Jewfish and Coral Trout depending on tides and times, all that you can discuss with Scott.
Within this location of Anson Bay the Motherboat will anchor off around the Peron Islands, Redcliff, Cape Ford and Cape Scott, whilst the tenders, fish the rivers, creeks and estuaries of the area. Again fishing for all types of fish a real mixed bag, from the most sort after Barramundi to all types of reef fish, its really up to you.
