Just completed a trip from the Kimberley WA back to Darwin NT, fishing and sightseeing along the way. What can I say but it was the best trip I have ever been on. Scott and crew with their professionalism, humour and knowledge of the area made our days a joy, finishing a day off kicking back enjoying a feed washed down by a cold one on Brute Force and her comforts just topped it off. I highly recommended Humbug Fishing Charters for a trip of a lifetime. Cheers guys.

I go on an annual trip with Humbug Fishing, and I couldn’t recommend them highly enough. The mothership is spacious and comfortable, having a fully air conditioned bunk house and a bar type set up on the back deck. The tender boats are fantastic to fish out of – fishing 5 people very easily. The trip is catered for each particular group – being barra or bluewater fishing. Or a bit of both. We always catch many, many fish. The food is fantastic, the cook constantly mixing up the meals to keep it interesting. Obviously the fish is always fresh – did i mention the steamed mud crab!

We had an amazing trip on a live aboard fishing charter we where fed extremely well (ate like the rich and famous) the whole trip and the sleeping quarters was air conditioned plenty of room the fishing and scenery can only be described as amazing 6 Barra over a meter and a couple just under and plenty of smaller ones in one trip between the two crews and others lost not to mention the queen fish, mangrove jack, black jewfish, golden snapper and a huge range of reef species the fishing was some of the best I have ever done and I fish a lot at home. Scott and the crew where very approachable and more than willing to help with anything we needed to make our trip more enjoyable. Will be booking another tip with them without hesitation.

Trip Highlights

1. Waking up on water at The Kimberley

This experience will live you, vividly, for a lifetime. Nothing will ever beat the silence, the sun, the colours, especially knowing that great fishing is waiting for you after breakfast! Plus the scenic Catalina float plane!

2. Dramatic images

This experience is renowned for dramatic and beautiful landscapes and indigenous artworks.

3. Truly remote experience

The remoteness and lack of road access protects the fish stocks, making for the one of the best locations for sportfishing in Australia. It includes coral reefs, blue water, mangrove inlets estuaries, freshwater streams, sand flats, and headlands.
